Lady Trucker Chronicles

The Lady Trucker Chronicles is a short series of You Tube Videos made by Christy aka NJ Katwoman in years past which give Lady Truckers a chance to say what is on their minds.

When you are trucking, you don’t get the chance to sit and talk much. Despite the increase of Women into Trucking, it’s difficult to find a Woman who will give you advice.

That is why this series is important to share for newcomers who are looking for REAL answers before they sign on the dotted line for a Student Loan.

I have linked Christy’s New Blog Site The Lady Trucker Chronicles and encourage you to listen to Portia & Emily and the other Women Truckers as they talk about their experiences in Trucking.

  • HERE it is! LOL! Yes, you were absolutely 100% correct, TruckerDesiree, it is here! I thank you so very much for linking The LadyTrucker Chronicles here on your site, I am honored!

Got a message from another LadyTrucker through YouTube, she stated that she would be delighted to do an interview for me.
Until I get back on the road, I’ll have to content myself with
video submissions from our fellow Ladytruckers, but hopefully,
it won’t be much longer until I have the chance to interview
    them in person.

Trucking is the best/worst job you’ll ever love/hate. lol!
And especially for us gals, it’s not a bed of roses…well, it
is, but riddled with thorns. The best thing we can do for each
other is to share our stories, make them available to others, and to educate, inform, and expose in order to improve the working conditions for us all.

God Bless, Desiree! Keep up the great work! We’ll catch
ya on the flip side! :D

(*****) said I should get in touch with you about what I’m running into. Ex Arrow driver, USA Truck screwed up my dac after a series of problems with them starting with a trainer masturbating while driving! I threatened them with a lawyer after they squeezed me out of that job. Found Arrow and was doing well and had found a home… but now I’m having hell getting a job!!!

        Hi Jen:

I have edited your name to protect your identity because retaliation is so common for the things you have stated.
Your story is more frequent than most trucking forums will permit to be posted. I am forwarding your information to a couple people who have been helping Women Truckers with this same situation and I think you should post on http://www.ripoffreport.com which is a Consumer Group not a Trucking Controlled forum and look up USA Truck. I am sure there are other former drivers who have posted there but your thread should include your unique topic. Harassment and Retaliation for reporting. Law firms and the EEOC utilize that site to gather information and possible class action suits. There are other legal sites available for advice that I will send you privately but for now, I know you need to get back to work.
I will be in touch shortly.
Seeing how you were an Arrow Driver I know many companies came forward to offer jobs right away but some did not deliver the final offer , perhaps due to what USA Truck is doing to you.
Making these things public is important because this abusive system is hurting peoples lives to protect a few greedy and/or unethical individuals.
I will be sending your comments to a few people and will contact you privately.

  • I have been here several times and have tweeted aabout it but you should know how proud we are of the enormous effort you have put forth here! Your heart is so warm. We are glad to know you. You have started a great think that many of us just didn’t have the courage to do and we thank you! God bless you always!

This is a collaborative effort. It is to share you REAL Stories and to help others recognize the obstacles they may face are the very organizations they join. We have all seen a massive cover up occuring with “Women in Trucking” who seems to have been put in place specifically to “Not Scare off” potential new Women recruits to trucking because there is a benefit to recruiting.

We have seen time and again where these organizations in trucking who help to conceal the issues wait for a success of others like hyenas only to claim it as their own in order to create media hype for more recruitment. Still, the problem for Women Truckers exists because we rarely get a chance to meet one another in person and exchange very similar experiences that could help us.

All stories are important, and moreso now that our every move is being shadowed. They may not have they integrity to do the right thing on their own but by exposing them, these organizations have been “acting like” they finally acknowledge the problems. We have to watch out for one another and WATCH DOG our own industry who are accustommed to treating drivers, as second class citizens.

Being successful is possible if you know who to avoid and who to trust.

Why can’t we start using video cameras of our own or our cell phone cameras to gather evidence of what is going on with these sleaze bags? Wouldn’t USA Truck just love to have had to explain their actions after a video of one their drivers, who they trusted enough to put in a position of authority as a “trainer”, was shown on You Tube strollin’ down the road spankin’ him monkey, with a female (or male for that) trainee in the truck?

    Hello!

I have come across your website and I thought you would be the best people to contact.

We are a television production company who make shows for channels like National Geographic and Discovery. We are looking for some fantastic people for a new show all about women in trucking and wondered if you, or any of your friends and colleagues, would be suitable candidates.

We are looking for women and they must:

    · be a trucker

    · have children

    · work in the USA / Canada

Please pass this around everyone you know who might be keen to take part and dont hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Hope life is treating you well on the road and to hear back from you really soon!
